Bank and gateways
Transactions are downloaded from the account as well as from payment gateways — today from Raiffeisenbank and from the GoPay and Stripe gateways. We read them, we don't pay on your behalf, and we don't send anything.
Matching
The payment is linked to the document based on symbols, the amount, and other characteristics. Deposits and balances separately.
Quarantine
What doesn't match falls into quarantine with a reason. The operator decides and the payment moves on.

Exceptions on a single list
No one searches through the bank statement. Whatever needs a person will tell you why.
Deposits and balances
A partial payment doesn't disrupt the document. The rest gets matched once it arrives.
Refunds and overpayments
Refunded money merges with the original payment, so it won't be counted twice.
Write-back
The matched payment is recorded in the accounting layer, if you have it enabled.

Frequently asked questions
Will you have access to our money?
No. The connection is for reading transactions only. menegio cannot create or send a payment, so nothing can leave the account.
What happens to a payment that doesn't match?
It stays in quarantine with the stated reason. It is never matched blindly — the intermediate state is not skipped.
Which bank and gateway does it work with today?
Raiffeisenbank and the GoPay and Stripe gateways are in live operation. We add other banks and gateways based on demand — the platform handles the connection once for all products.
Do we also need to have accounting with you?
You don't have to. Payments can be turned on separately; the accounting layer only gets written to when you use it.
